How to get to Dominical?

Driving: Takes about 4-5 hours through the mountains of the Cerro de la Muerte. From San Jose, take the Pan-American Highway heading south, in direction to Cartago. Follow the signs to San Isidro and Dominical. Another route is from the Juan Santamaria International Airport, heading towards Orotina, Jaco and Quepos. From Quepos (Manuel Antonio National Park), drive south along the coast to Dominical. This route takes 4-6 hours. The third route is by taking the Route #27 to Caldera, and then passing by Jaco and Quepos.

Besides its lovely beaches, Dominical is next to the Ballena National Marine Park, ideal site for observing whales, dolphins and coral reefs with all their marine life.
