Location:

It is located in the pacific coast of Costa Rica, at the eastern side of the Cabo Blanco Peak at the far south corner of the Peninsula de Nicoya (Nicoya Peninsula), Puntarenas. It is 8, 08 miles away from Cobano.

This is a 2, 49 miles long beach with white colored sand. Its deep blue ocean has a moderate to strong swell, ideal for surfers. 

The Reserva Absoluta Cabo Blanco (Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve) works as a natural barrier at the south end of this beach. Thus is very likely to observe different species of marine birds as well as a dense tropical dry forest.

There are various rocky structures alongside the beach and around it. They serve as vantage points where to enjoy the amazing sunsets or as natural pools during low tide.

Heading south from the coast you can observe the Isla Cabuya (Cabuya Island) an incredible spot for snorkelling and diving, filled with rich marine life. During low tide this island is accessible by foot.

Accessible with a double traction vehicle. 
There is a landing strip in the nearby Playa Tambor.

Precaution 
Must be careful and aware of the rocks in the beach that are hidden during high tide.
