This is a very internationally popular beach for being an ideal beach for the surf practice, with an adequate swell during the whole year. It limits with the Ballena Marine National Park, reason why it is very common to watch from the coast dolphins and whales that travel for warmer waters. It has rocky areas like peaks and inlets (small bays) with amazing panoramic views. Among its natural beauties, there is also a fresh water lagoon formed by the basin from the Baru River.
